This site is a record of the conference Modern Sacred Architecture in Ireland and Germany that was held in Newman House Dublin on October 9-10, 2014, with an intensive tour of modern sacred architecture on Saturday October 11th.  Supported by University College Dublin and Goethe-Institut Irland, the conference brought together scholars and architects engaged in the study and design of churches, synagogues and mosques. The programme included keynote lectures, panel sessions, a film screening and architectural tours of modern sacred architecture in Dublin. It was co-organised by Professor Kathleen James-Chakraborty (UCD) and Dr. Lisa Godson (NCAD).
